FAQs

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions section of our website. In here you will find answers to commonly asked questions.

Q How long is a course?
A A typical programme is two or three days, depending upon your needs.
Q How do you develop a case study for us?
A I will meet with you in order to understand the nature of a typical consultancy engagement and typical client set. I will also need to understand the typical problems that your consultants encounter and struggle with. I will take this information and design a case study that reflects your real world and your organisation.
Q Where do you run your courses?
A They are run at your offices or offsite. The courses can be either residential or non-residential.
Q Do you run public courses?
A No, all of my work is tailored to each specific client.
Q What is the maximum and minimum number of people?
A For the programmes to work effectively you will need between four and twelve consultants to attend.
Q Do your courses lead to any qualifications?
A Yes, we are accredited by the Institute of Business Consulting and our consultancy courses can lead to the award of a Certificate in Management Consultancy Essentials. This is subject to the submission and assessment of post course written work.
Q Do we have to do the CMCE Qualification?
A No, this is optional and does incur an additional fee.
Q Can programmes be run at the weekend?
A Yes, many clients do not want to forgo client revenue and run courses from Friday evening through Sunday.
Q How do you support the post course implementation of learning?
A Clients adopt a variety of approaches to the implementation of learning.

Examples are:

  • Participants are encouraged to work with line managers or mentors to set pre-course objectives and to develop an implementation plan after the training.
  • Conducting a series of evening follow up refresher sessions.
  • To offer individual coaching to the course participants to implement learnings.
  • Completing the Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials qualification really helps implement the learning.
